OUR
PROGRAMS

Zaban Paradies Center offers programs designed to support our Atlanta neighbors experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Through compassionate care and practical resources, we help individuals, couples, and families build stability and regain independence - because everyone deserves a place to call home.

Couples Shelter

Still one of the only shelters in America for couples!

From the beginning, our shelter has been at the core of who we are. It was our very first program and still stands as one of the only emergency shelters in the nation that accepts and houses self-identifying couples, as they present, without requiring them to separate. ZPC’s shelter gives our neighbors in need a safe and supportive space where they can have their basic needs met and receive case management, wraparound services, community, and the opportunity to begin anew. Our team is dedicated to helping our residents lay the groundwork for building (or rebuilding) lives of independence.

  • Now open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
  • Able to accommodate 15 couples (30 individuals) at a time
  • Each couple stays in their own, private room
  • Residents must be 21 years of age or older
  • Couples can self-identify
  • Residents typically stay for 60-90 days as they create and carry out plans to stable housing
  • Residents' basic needs are met while they work toward self-sufficiency
  • Residents receive robust case management & wrap-around services

Financial Assistance

In December 2024, we launched two new financial assistance programs in partnership with United Way of Greater Atlanta. These programs offer one-time financial assistance to Atlanta or Atlanta-area households to help with the costs associated with gaining or maintaining housing.

Atlanta Rising Prevention Pilot

Supports City of Atlanta resident households with homelessness prevention services, including but not limited to eviction prevention, rental assistance, and case management.

"Street to Home" Housing

This program helps households with income for whom saving for move-in costs is a burden. This program targets the greater Metropolitan Atlanta area, without the same age restrictions as Home Again, and provides move-in assistance including deposits and first-month rent.

“Home Again” Housing & Prevention

Home Again targets households within the City of Atlanta with either a senior (55 years or older) or child (younger than 18 years) living in the house. Home Again provides one-time eviction prevention, and eligible households receive funds to cover rental arrears. Families are also eligible for move-in assistance, when available.

Day Services

First Come, First Served

Every Tuesday from 10AM to 1PM

Once a week, ZPC hosts its Day Services program, which allows any members of our community - not just our residents - to visit us for a meal and access to our facility. This includes bathrooms with showers, a clothing closet, laundry facilities, and a computer lab. Moreover, participants receive resources, light-touch casework, and feelings of connectedness and inclusion. This program is a critical support for several of our neighbors.
